Merry Christmas from Orlando

Christmas Day is almost upon us, and I’m excited for Miss Mila to enjoy her first Christmas morning. Max was only 3 months old his first holiday season, so it will be neat to watch a little one who can open presents and watch the twinkle of Christmas lights.

This year we decorated the tree right before Thanksgiving, which is a first for me, but I liked having the tree to enjoy over the holiday and you might as well get the biggest bang for your buck if you are taking the time to decorate, right?

We live in downtown Winter Garden, so we are spoiled and get to enjoy all of the music and holiday decorations downtown every year. Max went sledding on the mini hill they build downtown the night of the Christmas tree lighting.

My sister came in early December as well this year, so that was an extra special treat, especially for all the kiddos.

A few weeks ago we stayed at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to get into Christmas mood, and Max had a great time at Chef Mickey’s for dinner (Mila not so much). We spent some time at the Magic Kingdom this month, and a max played his first round of golf at Blizzard Beach’s mini golf course.

The last two weekends were spent going on a horse drawn carriage ride, battling a nasty stomach bug (the WHOLE family), and riding the Polar Express with Nana.

Max had a blast wrapping up the year in his VPK 3 class, and his school program even included a visit from Santa! And now it’s finally Christmas Eve… we watched Rudolph, the Grinch and Frosty last night, the Elf on the Shelf made another disaster, and we will be baking one last batch of cupcakes today. We go to Nana’s house tonight, and then sprinkling “reindeer dust” in the driveway so Santa knows where to land tonight!
